Laurie Gelman, née Hibberd (born April 4, 1964) is a Canadian television personality and writer, originally from Ottawa, Ontario. She is married to television producer Michael Gelman; they have two children. In 2007 she worked on two Canadian-based talk shows, The Mom Show and Doctor in the House. Hibberd began her broadcasting career as a traffic reporter at CKFM Radio in Toronto from 1986 through 1988. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, she served as a host on YTV for YTV Rocks and Rock'n'Talk.
Recalled cinnamon applesauce pouches that potentially poisoned 65 young children might have been intentionally contaminated with lead, the Food and Drug Administration Deputy Commissioner for Human Foods Jim Jones said to Politico on Friday.
The FDA is investigating several theories for how the pouches became contaminated, but Jones told Politico it currently believes the act was economically motivated – which could mean someone in the supply chain altered the goods to cheapen production with the intention of selling it at an elevated price.

EMMETT, Idaho (KBOI) - Bowling is more than just a hobby for KT Simpson, who is from Boise. She started bowling when she was three years old.
"My grandparents bowl, my parents bowl," Simpson said. "It's just kind of a family thing."
Bowling enabled Simpson to attend Pikeville University in Kentucky. The Bears are one of the top collegiate teams in the country. They've finished second in the nation the last two seasons.
