Maui police made seven arrests for operating a vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant and towed seven vehicles from Friday through the Labor Day holiday weekend that ended Monday. Two of the arrests over the weekend were for habitually operating a vehicle under the influence, police said in a news release Wednesday. The department conducted five separate intoxication checkpoints and reported no alcohol or drug-impaired driving fatalities.
